About Dina
Dina Rizvić is a composer and producer for film, television and advertising, and a music educator — writing across orchestral, jazz, cinematic and contemporary styles. Classically trained in piano and percussion from the age of five, she won multiple national competitions in Croatia and trained under the jazz vibraphonist Boško Petrović before earning a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where she graduated summa cum laude, with a further postgraduate qualification in audio production from the University of Westminster.
Her work has been recognised repeatedly on the international stage. She is a multiple Hollywood music award winner — taking the New/Emerging Composer award at the 2022 Hollywood Music in Media Awards and the Jazz category at the 2023 Hollywood Independent Music Awards — with further nominations spanning folk/acoustic, sci-fi/fantasy and Latin pop/rock. She also received the “Istriana” award, one of the highest civic honours in her home county.
Signed to Croatia Records at 16, Dina's songs have topped the charts of the Croatian national radio multiple times. Her music has aired on BBC Music Introducing and been selected for the Sony and Universal Publishing catalogues. A committed champion of women in music, she co-created Miracles with the HRT Jazz Orchestra — the first jazz-orchestra album in the Balkans composed, arranged and performed by women.
Alongside writing and producing, Dina is a Guest Lecturer at the University of the Arts London. Her mentees earning ABRSM distinctions and places at Berklee. She is currently a Music Director of 111 Music Group and founder of DR Music Academy.
